How to Request TMS Treatment in Myrtle Beach Through Your VA Doctor

  1. Talk to Your VA Primary Care Doctor
    Share how you're feeling and ask about TMS treatment available locally in Myrtle Beach.

  2. Request a Referral to a VA Psychiatrist
    If TMS sounds like a good fit, your doctor will refer you to a VA psychiatrist for next steps.

  3. Ask for Local Treatment in Myrtle Beach
    Let the psychiatrist know you'd prefer treatment at Living Water Mental Health BRAIN Treatment Center with Dr. Owen S. Muir—we're part of the VA Community Care Network and located right here in Myrtle Beach.

  4. We will contact you!
    Once the referral is made, a member of our Care Team will contact you to schedule your consultation and subsequent treatments.


Be Your Own Advocate!

We know that sometimes referrals at the VA can take longer than expected. If you don’t receive your referral in a timely manner, call the VA in Charleston directly and advocate for a quicker turnaround. Their phone number is 843-577-5011.

If you have TRICARE, the process is a bit smoother. Simply complete the Request for Consultation form, and someone from our Care Team will be in touch within 24 hours to conduct your prescreen interview.
