Recent clinical data highlights the potential of BrainsWay’s Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) therapy in reducing chronic peripheral neuropathic pain. In a randomized, double-blind crossover trial involving 17 participants, active Deep TMS sessions demonstrated significant reductions in pain intensity compared to sham treatments. The therapy also improved symptoms of anxiety and depression, addressing common comorbidities in chronic pain patients. These findings, published in the journal Neuromodulation, provide early evidence for Deep TMS as a non-invasive alternative in pain management.
While these results are promising, further research is needed to establish broader efficacy, as the treatment is not yet FDA-approved for neuropathic pain. Still, the dual benefits observed in this feasibility study pave the way for expanded applications of Deep TMS in both mental and physical health treatments
